surfing is definatley the best sport on this planet. i surf most everyday there are waves at home. surfing blitzed is like a religious experience, as is tripping :D matter of fact, the last surf mag i got was dedicated to " surfing is a religion" . wish we had better surf consistently, but this past weekend was epic for the contest in wb, wish i was there. shred on, but respect everyone in the water, or you will get nowhere

I have heard surfing is fun but I prefer to stick to long-boarding on land.

Tommy you crazy cat! How long were you there again? Yeah I would love surfing, but ever since a bad first experience with it, I've been turned off to it haha. I was like 12 years old learning for the first time, but I forgot to put sunscreen on the back of my legs hahahaha. Since I was out there for like 2 and 1/2 hours, the back of my legs got fried and I couldn't bend my legs without being in a lot of pain! But the actual surfing part of it was a ton of fun!

the last time i body surfed i almost died

it was crazy, it had never happened to me like that before

but after it was all said and done i didn't know which was was forwards or backwards or up or down

and i didn't know if my head was still connected to my body

after that i just walked up the beach, sat down, and just had to think about what had happened

Sounds like you dont know how to body surf very well. Some keys is to always catch the wave before it breaks. Also to only ride waves that are breaking away from shore because you will get hurt close to shore, no room to ride.

lmao that happened to me when i went to daytona.
i was body surfing on really big waves,
and sometimes they were so huge they would crash ON me and slam me underwater.
i remember the one time i did it, my body was underneath the water being dragged on the bottom of the ocean, i had cuts all over my body haha

I absolutely love surfing...I used to go more when I lived in Miami because we would just go up to Ft. Pierce inlet, but now that I live in Naples (and there's no waves unless there's a hurricane) I go longboarding more.

But I finally did get to go surfing in Venice, Cali a few years ago, which was an amazing experience...I just wish I could go back for a week or two and just surf, and smoke all day!
