I agree. I think that the founding of America was unique because it was the first time in history where the ones in power willingly relinquished it and then tried to set rules that would prevent others from gaining it. As to how well those rules worked is debatable(very debatable), but it's the thought that counts.

I haven't seen a lot, but what I have has been exemplary. Century of the Self is a must watch for anyone living in the consumer culture. Money is Debt is also a win(I found a lot of the details very hard to understand, but it was worth the time to figure it out). The World According to Monsanto is less universal, but really good nonetheless. I doubt anyone cares, but hey.
