I dont know if this is the right forum for this but does anyone know if Nelson is still getting the monument? I havent heard anything about it in a while.

To any who dont know Nelson BC(one of the hippiest places in canada) was one of the places americans went to escape the draft during the veitnam war and a monument was being place to honour them but its now its causing a big stir. http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national/2004/09/28/nelson_memorial040928.html

That's so cool.....from reading around on the net, it looks as if it will be built no matter what, but most likely not in Nelson.

I heard something about that a couple days ago. Sounds cool. I might have to check it out someday when I'm dodging a draft.

that's really interesting, but here's a question, why are the men in the statue naked? Not like I'm advocating them wearing clothes, because I don't rightly care, I'm just kinda of curious, it seems rather odd...
