From what i just gathered it's not looking good for our brother.his liver is about 75% shut down.they gave him some kind of medicine thats supposed to take 48 hours to kick in.so if he makes it untill then it should look better.my bro whos telling me this info says they don't want to do a transplant liver cuz he's an alchy or something.they are all pretty frayed out at this point,so i'm hoping for more inteligable info tomorrow. cw
Little Hawk was (of course) the very first person i met at my very first rainbow gathering. i will miss him very much and coming home will never be the same for me. he taught me many things in this life.i'm glad hes in a place now where the leo's can never bother him again.they will be taking his ashes to sturgis first then onto shawnee where they will be scattered.i hope to see all his brothers and sisters there this fall.i'm considering doing teatime not far from front gate or maybe even at it this year in honor of my brother.let me know what you think about that. cw
i'll never forget the first time i met little hawk, at cumberland in 2005, he was tring to make it up to rainbow land to tell the hippies about the 6up when the female officer opened to door of her suv and let her sheppard out, which proceeded to knock little hawk down on the ground anf bit his arm. Him and cornbread should've wrote a book about county jail from one end of the country to the other. I'll miss my brother little hawk.
And things are fixin' to get REALLY INTERESTING at Front Gate, while the younguns duke it out to see who gets to be his successor.....Like I've been saying about A-Camp, "You don't know what you've got till it's gone". His sister was on here a while back...username BeckyPRN, or some thing like that?
what is front gate? and the rainbow gathering? all of this sounds very interesting and i want to get involved. i want to meet/talk to/get to know people like little hawk...
Omg...I will let Jody know as soon as I talk to him. Little Hawk is a great loss and he will be remembered fondly. RIP Little Hawk. Clearwater, TY for the update.
Little Hawk was my brother, my teacher, my friend...He has been a legend in his own time. Today, St. Peter has help at the front gate to heaven...

I just signed up to see if I could find some people I hung out with, and this is the first thread I ran into. Little Hawk was the first person I met, too, CW. It was in MS at the end of '90, I think. It was cold as hell, that's for sure, and we were clueless about gatherings in general, but he took the time to sit down with us and explain how things worked. We had a lot of beer, so he was especially friendly lol but right now, I wonder just how many times he did that. After that night, I know that I personally saw him do it a huge number of times, and I was only on the road for about 8 months, and I didn't hang at a-camp most of the time. I do drink, though, and I did fall in love with some of the a-campers, so I did visit often, and hung out with Little Hawk and Diane (where is she?). I'll do an intro post about all of that, but I do want to say that I admired and loved him, and so did my daughter, who he kept mesmerised for hours with his stories. Not sure if I'll ever be able to go to a gathering again, but if I do, there will be a big gaping hole in A-camp. RIP, brother.
