Gas prices just keep fucking up my day. Yesterday I had an angry moment at the gas pump when I started ranting about how that was the shortest pump time of my life. I was extremely broke yesterday and I put nine dollars in the tank and got two whole gallons. My anger comes from the situation I am currently in. A couple of years ago I came back to my hometown from Washington State. I loved every minute of my life in that beautiful place. The reason I returned to the cornfields was my fajjjaa had a heart attack and I am the youngest of my siblings, and at the time I was tied down the least. I helped nurse him back to health and since then I have been unable to afford to move again. I live with a roommate, she is moving to the north suburbs (2hrs away), so it will be a trip to see her. Another friend Doug already moved 3 1/2 hrs south a few weeks ago and I haven't had the money to go see him yet. I miss watching Planet Earth to his different playlists. My friend Angela and I have been working at a daycamp all summer and a restaurant for a year and half together. We are childhood friends. She is moving with doug next week. That was all fine and dandy until my BEST FRIEND called tonight and told me she is moving to Michigan. I am proud and happy for her....BUT FUCK GAS PRICES. I am not mad at my friends for moving, I have moved 2000 miles away before. I just hope something changes soon is all, or I will never see them.
I believe it's due to the elections being near. it seems every time there is a major election prices go down.
I was like "I hope everyone here can hear me. This fucking sucks." As I am putting my gas cap back on. Warning..do not pump gas while stoned. May result in loud bitching.
Good point. I drive a little itty bitty car with good mileage...thats a small blessing. I do think one girl I work with must not have a brain. She drives this huge 4 by 4 with a lift kit. Must take her whole check. She's a waitress. The crazy thing is that she used to have a civic and just recently started driving this monster truck.
Everyone needs to be careful when driving past a gas station. People are exiting those places in a frantic rage and nearly getting into accidents. I've almost gotten hit a couple of times in the past month. .
If the oil reserves are as vast as some claim but production is down, the cost per gallon shouldn't be much more than pictured below at a whopping 59 cents per gallon for regular North Truro, Mass 1978 Hotwater
Production/refinement is being manipulated to inflate the price. It is an out and out case of robbery and more people need to get PISSED about it. Our Commander-in chimp has made a yearly practice of paying cheap lip service to breaking our "addiction to oil" but in truth his administration has done more to deepen that addiction than to break it. By not throwing the same level of support to developing alternatives that it does in giveaways to big oil, our government, whose members' personal fortunes are disproportionately invested in petroleum, has ensured that big oil can name its own price and the average homeowner will need to shell out a thousand bucks to heat his home for one month this coming winter. Your representative and senator doesn't care any more than the oil company CEO that you will be forced to choose between keeping warm and eating this next winter. Perhaps when the economy is completely gutted, the lack of steady work will free people up to participate in the modern equivalent of storming the castle walls and overthrow the thieves who are writing and using policy to divert what you and I are working so hard to earn into their own bloated fortunes. People need to see their government as a body composed not of hapless victims of market forces and external corporate whims but of active participants in the commission of one of largest scale crimes against the working class. This is not longer a government that is of the people, by the people, and for the people... it is of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations.
