Well, I live in Poland now-I came here to start a family with my fiancee that I fell in love with on the internet. I'm glad that the new Polish government headed by Tusk and the Platform Party are tough in their negotiations with the US. There is absolutely no need for a missile defense shield for Poland, other than to make a lot of money for American defense contractors and Bush's buddies. The missile shield is not even effective against Russian missiles, only against little rinky-dink rockets fired at them by Iran, of all countries, which has absolutley no intention of shooting at Poland in the first place. I'm glad that Tusk and Platform won't say 'how high' every time that the US says 'jump', like Kaczynski and the PIS were doing when they were in power. I didn't come here to live in a colony of the war-mongering United States. Europeans have a healthy skepticism of war because so many battles have been fought in their own backyards. They also don't have this sense of superiority and paranoia that seems to permeate relations that the American govt. has with other countries, and their own citizens. I like Europe, I'm here to stay, and although it has its drawbacks, I'm a lot happier here than in the US. Bush, Obama, and whoever else is on the payroll of the defense industry is cordially invited to keep their bloody hands off of Europe, and to leave these and other sovereign nations the hell alone.
