Does anyone have a good method of collecting the hardened kief from inside a glass jar for smoking purposes? Its all over the bottom and sides(like a thin layer) And it looks like hard sap. Any clues?
fill the jar with some ISO alcohol and swish it around every so often for a day and then pour it out on a plate to evaporate.. then scrape up the goodness that is left behind
the less iso the better too. Helps to reduce time to evaporate as well as letting you pour it into a smaller space so you don't have to scrape off an entire plate or something. I like to scrape it together before the iso is completely dissolved (when its almost like a goo) just so it comes up easier.
also use the highest percentage ISO content you can find, the higher the percentage the less water to evaporate.
^ dito. If there's kief in a case that I want to get out I usually cut a small piece of soft cardboard and scraped away with the piece. Cardboard 'cause I can choose the side, it stays pretty solid, and it's somewhat malleable.
