I have read that using salt water on your dreads helps them to tighten, but is it a good to soak your hair in salt water when you are TRYING to form dreads?

If you don't want to soak, you could always make a salt spray solution (1/4 cup celtic sea salt dissolved in 2 cups warm water and shaken up in a spray bottle. Spray on dreads and roll, just try to avoid your scalp because salt can make your scalp itchy.

I heard today that just being at the beach and being exposed to salt air and wind helps as well!
