34 yrs ago today was one of the sadest days in history. The death of a goddess, Janis Joplin will be remembered forever, her life may have been cut short, but her legacy lives on. R.I.P Janis, R.I.P

Janis was an attitude, expressed in her own way. True she didn't have the best voice but her message was heard and understood. RIP J.J.

Janis Joplin was an awesome talent and anyone who says she wasn't is clueless.

That being said, her death was tragic but inevitable. She couldn't live with her personal pain without trying to dull it with ever-increasing amounts of drugs and booze. No way was she going to live to be an old woman.

who cares. she is dead, get over it. You people werent even old enough to remember her, so why get so distraught over something that happened years ago?

That everyone has an opinion of her voice is a testament to her talent. Everyone loves her or hates her, but few in between.

An amazing talent, incredible voice, lovely person. She put everything she had into her music, and doesnt get enough credit for her efforts. Very missed.
