Holes... Too Many/Not Enough?

Hey everyone I just made my first homemade water bong but I've smoked out of many of my friends bongs before so its nothing new to me. I was just wondering one thing though.. I started poking holes with a needle I got and after covering half the bowl area with them I thought maybe it is either not enough or too many holes. Here is what it looks like:


Sorry its a little blurry but that is the side where the pen compartment is where the smoke will mostly be going. So from more experienced bong makers, what should I do? Thanks! :cheers2:

 

What material is that? Anyways, whatever it is, I'd suggest burning it to remove any unwanted chemicals before.. but even burning it might not be enough, depending on what it is.

Nah don't worry its just duck tape lol. The silver is aluminum foil and I burnt it slightly like you suggested and added just a couple holes and then decided to test hit it. The massive ammount of duck tape is because I had to seal up every spot I had air when I tested how tight the pen was fitted onto the Gaterade bottle.

I must admit I had my doubts but after I added some ice cubes and cold water and took the test hit... I'm high right now so it all worked out.

 

Buy a real bong.

Yeah even if you bought a cheap acrylic bong, it would be better than the one you are using. If it got you high though and you don't plan on using it often, then I guess it's worth it to you at least

 

a normal bong should have at least 20 holes in it

 

if you can't afford something to smoke out of, and peddle your money on weed...
i suggest getting a new bottle and trying again...

you don't wanna burn duct tape either, in fact, you don't wanna use duct tape at all...
it is pretty simple, make it air tight...

 

Aluminum is no good for the lungs. Trust me. After smoking for a few months out of aluminum bowls (all I had in my room) I eventually started coughing blood. I was also smoking cigarettes at the time, but only about 3 a day for about 6 months, so I don't think it was the cigs.

If the bowl under the aluminum is plastic I would get rid of it too. You'll most likely be inhaling some that shit too.

5-10$ will get you a much better pipe than this.

 

This man speaks the truth. Homemade shit just doesnt cut it, unless its like rly sweet none of this water bottle garbage. but ya upgrade to glass doesnt even have to be a bong, a bubbler or regular pipe would suffice.
