K. Ever play enduro? Man I love that game. Best racer prior to super mario cart(probably the only racer)
I used to own nintendo, super nintendo, gameboy(the old school huge one, and advance) n64, gamecube, ps1, ps2, and sega but I sold them all last year cuz i went awhile w/o a job, but now I have nintendo, super nintendo, gameboy, sega, and ps1 on my computer
I never got into RPGs on the SNES... I had Zelda, and that's all I needed... I remember seeing Final Fantasy games for sale in shops, but I didn't discover the joys of FF until FFVII - I've played them since using emulators... but they are not as good as the real thing. I'd love to get a snes, with Zelda, and a bunch of other RPGs for it... I guess maybe I should settle for my GBA-SP and the re-releases..
the gba re-releases are good and some have extras but the sound quality is nowhere near the snes, you can never recreate the original
Haha this got me thinking about the long hours playing 31in1 on the NES. ah Battletanks, Tetris, Excitebike, that circus game, those were the best. Now i just got a PS2. Hey remember Solitare when you had to use real cards?
Talking about retro-gaming; I used to have a Philips Videopac, but I have no idea where it is now. It is a early/mid 80's game console. For all you kids who have never heard of it, this is what it looks like: Also I used to have a late 70's/early 80's Pong-console. Yes you guessed it, all you could play with it was Pong.
I put away most of my little toys, or sold them off. I just need to focus on some other things in my life, once those are sorted out I might just hunker down again with them. Upstairs I hooked up the ol' SNES. Mario Kart, Mario All-stars, the mortal Kombats Yoshi Island, game boy emulator, etc. etc. I usually play a bit of that when I get out of the shower on my days off. Ya it's nerdy to be dripping wet trying to beat Boom Boom for the millionth time, and still getting all excited trying to catch that wand. The NES is out the in garage somewhere, along with the gameboy. My tricks don't work anymore, Only a few can get that one started. Playstation got sold. Dreamcast got boxed up. Atari (s) got sold back through garage sales, Gamecube is collecting dust. X-Box got sold. Sega CD got busted. Sega GameGear got busted. Chip N' Dale's Rescue ranger's is CHOICE! Sarah, more power to you for mentioning that shaz. Now back to Retro Gaming. Anyone remember this one game for NES, you played as robots... pink vs. blue, and you were playing baseball. Everytime there was a questionable call (which was always) there was a fight. Your bots could jump and (literally) throw punches, sometimes shoot guns. It was just one of the weirdest, and funnest, multiplayer games on tha' ol NES
OOh retro gaming, hell yeah! I still have an original nintendo and an atari 5200. But on my pc I have emulators for all the good gaming systems and plenty of retro games. Zelda is my favorite, naturally.
ugh, that circus game blows. Anyone play the game where you have to control the two characters going through the maze, but you control them at the same time? I love that game, but I can't remember what it's called.
You don't like Zelda! Next you're gonna tell me you don't like Marble Madness either...geez. Hehe. You know what other game I got addicted to pretty quick was Simon's Quest. Not all of em, and I'm not even sure it was the first one. I just remember gathering Dracula's parts and going to the white castle.
Oh ok...fhew! When you said "that circus game" I thought you were trying to make a crack on zelda...I don't know why... anyways...glad to hear you like Zelda. I really was worried.
Ah, ic. Zelda rocks. The game i was talking about was this old game, that was literally a circus game. You played a clown and everything. Was'nt very fun though.
I never played Monkey Island, but I had a NES and played Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt, and Zelda. Only recently have I enveloped myself within the joys of Tetris... wheeeee!!!!! I'm so damn good at it that my parents stand there awestruck watching me play! The NES is packed away somewhere, so I don't actually technically own it.
