i live in the pittsburgh area, haven't got much experience shrooming, but from the research i've done online the 2 species i'm most likely to find in my area are subbs and the so-called laughing gyms. it's my understanding that subbs have a fairly long season throughout the summer, and that gyms don't come out until autumn.
    a. is any of this info accurate?
    b. is it worth it to hunt for these in w. pa?
    c. are either of these mushroom worth the trouble at all, or should i be hunting for a psilocybe dealer instead?

Subbs are worth the hunt, you might also find some gold caps if your lucky. the only laughing gyms known to be psilocybin active are from japan.
