no, it was flat and circular, and thin

it was the thinnest glass out of the whole bong

the rest of the glass is pretty damn thick

 

what you might be able to do... is glue the broken part to a flat surface, roughly the shape of the original base.

i was thinking something along those lines, but i don't like the idea of using glue

i've been trying to think of a way to incorporate using some hemp to wrap around the chamber, in a net sort of fashion, and bring it down to something, whatever i'll use, and sort of "anchor" it, the hemp, with whatever/however

i dunno, we'll see how that goes

OK, I was trying to think of what to do if a wine glass style thing like in the symbol-picture broke, but that's more complicated.
Putting the shattered end over some kind of torch like a bunson burner would smooth the edges without even having to touch or reshape it. We did some of that kind of stuff in chemistry without worrying about cracking the glass, and your bong was made that way to begin with.
As far as rebasing it goes, the best idea I can come up with would be to make something ceramic. There are all kinds of high quality sculpting putties that you could just stick it into then mold it and make something cool looking without any need to fire it. If you have any sculpter friends you hit a jackpot.
