I have been trawling the search engines in search of knowlege of the mysterious Peyote and its cultivation. I have a few 2 inch cacti. would these be large enough to harvest, and would they grow back?

Also is harvesting just a matter of slicing the top off or is there more to it?

    Thanking you in advance.

Those are decent size buttons i personally would let them grow to 3" but they could be harvested if you want. Also, when harvesting cut the cactus at the very base, leaving the V shaped root in the ground. if done properly you will get new peyote pups

yes, but it may take a long time for them to start pupping again. i have some 6cm ones i topped for grafting, and the roots still have yet to pup (1.5 years later).

also make sure you leave some areoles (the fuzzy things) cause that is where cacti pup from.

Graft those pups onto some little san pedros. They'll grow to maturity in 6 months instead of years......
