    I've heard of Lambertville.
    I think I have a friend there.

    I'm from the Wayne-ish area.

    What instrument do you play?

    rhythm guitar and piano.
I say rhythm because I'm not much of a soloist or really even able to play lead lines. Just chords.

    Piano I'm pretty decent with.
I've got a bit of jazz theory under my belt with the keys. I have to go teach a lesson in half an hour actually

I just joined today, because after googling information on dreads, I found this site.

I just "started" my dreads last night. I'm going off what my sister has told me (she had dreads for a while, now she only has one left because she got rid of the other ones), and a few friends. I'm glad that I didn't take the wax/product advice, though!

For one mere day, I think they're coming out alright. My hair should dread extremely easily, as it's really curly and wants to knot up no matter what I do to it. I'm excited! :)

stop backcombing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you only backcomb once
no wonder theyre snapping off backcombing is very very dammaging to your hair
its agressive and tears your hair to shreads doing it over and over will destroy your hair
i dint recommenfdd it even onvcce but if your impatient do it once ..and once only then never agaon

also throw out the wax do the wax removal..wax is evil
throw out the lock peppa too that craps no good either

use salt water and nothing else get em clean keep em clean stop messin with em a nd ;learn to be patient

Holy shit, those are quite the impressive dreadlocks! That's absolutely awesome.

I back combed today to start them off, because I was getting a little frustrated. I didn't make too many of them (no where near 64!) because I don't have that much hair to begin with. Does the saying "less is more" apply to dreadlocks? Or is it a pretty much "whatever floats your boat" kind of situation?

whatever ya want i have roughly 200 some very very thin some fairly thick..startin to let alot combine now tho cause keep gettin tangled in em and figure less dreads would mean fewer i gotta keep track of..

altho if u make too few and theyre too thick its harder to keep the scalp clean
