I've always been an artist. i've always drawn, painted, written, read, sung, etc.
When I was in high school I was quite the depressed emo kid... what kept me going before, during, and after I was in the foster system, and what probably kept me going all my life was my art.
Anyway, in high school all i thought about was art to the point of where I'd lose sleep over a piece. Honestly since I was first placed in the foster system at 16 I haven't done that since. i've always been busy with... something else.
but I've begun to see that indeed my art keeps me sane... mentally and psychologically.
SO, my point is, I'm gonna start diving deeper into my art again.

What do you guys thing? Thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas? Inspiration?

Go buy a brand new sketchbook! Maybe it will inspire you? :p It will probably make you really excited to get back into it.

Find other artists in your area to inspire you, keep you motivated, keep you interested, share with... etc. maybe even create with! Creativity is very important for mental health, everyone needs to indulge in their creativity, especially us very artistic types. yay for you... I've taken a decent break too and just now getting back at it, it was other artists that really made me say, OK I HAVE to DO THIS!

if you can afford it, take a class at a local community college or library. it's a good place to connect with other artsy types, and great for inspiration.
i just started working at a camp, so i get to be crafty with the kids all day. it's great to keep me creating.

    peace.
