ive actually never watched dazed and confused.. i know, shame on me!

i do have almost famous tho, and watched in several times. i love all the gret music in it, and how it plays with each scene perfectly. the bus scene with elton johns "tiny dancer" is my fave!

    "and dont do drugs!"

Well obviously, they probably glamorize that period and tweak it so it will apply to the 90s generation too. Haha, I wouldn't depend on just that movie for 70s pop culture. Of course, I like the soundtrack. But you know, other movies (that are similar even) do a better job of portraying that time too.

That hippie was a little to clique as well. Not all stoners are that spaced, a lot of them have their shit together. So how they portrayed hippies was sort of annoying too. And you had you're typical 70s jock, your good jock gone rebellious, etc. Gotta think outside the box! People were all about being different and being individuals! So I wish they had more unique characters and not typical ones who were sort of easy to read and predict.

It was a good movie, yes. Would I rush to see it again? No, it was nothing special.

i LOVE dazed and confused. It was so funny and just a great movie. Plus the drinking game when mitch touches his nose is so much fun to play, even though its pretty hard haha. I like almost famous... it was a good movie but not one of my favorites.

I think American Graffiti is a far better film from that loose, "coming-of-age" genre.

I was obsessed with these two movies back in high school, now it's been a few years and I catch myself not really caring to watch those movies as constantly as I used to. I don't know, I guess I grown from them. But they are decent movies, don't get me wrong, just not my thing anymore? Who knows.

Never seen Dazed and Confused, but considering the title it sounds a little like a movie I would probably like. Almost Famous is my all time favorite movie, it's just mind smackingly awesome!

Dazed and Confused is great movie, but it's a little too light for my tastes. More of a movie to throw in the player when hanging out with friends than anything, but it gets a much bigger nod as a movie to watch stoned, obviously.

Almost Famous is amazing. The characters are almost all brilliant. When it's not being outstandingly witty it's incredibly touching (often both).
