so my dreadies are about 3 months now. the ones towards the back of my head are locking up great while the ones near the crown of my head are still loose and resemble....well....loose hair...not really dreads. I'm scared that when I wash my hair I'm not getting all of the shampoo out and its building up causing my hair to slip.
more often then not I'll lather up my hair real good, spend 20 min making sure I've gotten all the soap out, get out of the shower then get right back in after i've dried off realizing that deep in my hair there is some sticky soap mess.
not only that, but every time I wash I feel that my hair get more and more loops in it. I love them, but is this normal? will my dreads have loops in them forever? (I ask because they are getting caught on my ear jewelry lol)

I use dr. bronners tea tree liquid soap.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

    cheers!

so im not shure but id say u prolly dont dilute it enough.
ive heard several people talkin about bronners leavin residue, and that you have to dilute it alot.

hmm, I've used soap bars in the past, but I can never seem to get it all out...and I dont wanna spend 20 standing in the shower rinsing. So I just said screw it, and started using baking soda instead. BS leaves your hair super clean n dry and no worries about residue, give it a try.

as for the loops, that is completely normal.

Loops haha! I remember those! I hated them, then I just got used to them and then one day I realized they were gone.
