God in hiding?

So what's up with God not coming out and doing his magic like in the good ol days? What ever happened to talking burning bushes and seperation of the sea? And the raining toads and all of that good stuff? Not to mention people being nailed to crosses and coming back to life.

 

god used those powers to aid the ones who loved him

People aren't sacrificing enough lambs... and remember, christians like to refer to themselves as lambs, so they make good sacrifices too.

 

im not a lamb,iv never called myself a lamb or herd anyone else call themself a lamb.......the 'flock' yes,but not lamb!the sacrafise of lambs is not needed,jesus' blood was apyement ofr all mankinds sin for all enternity......leave the poor lambs alone,there is no need for thweyre inocent blood to b shed

 

Jesus killed god. when he convinced people they didn't need to make sacrifices he effectively cut off gods source of power.

 

And convincing people to worship him, dedicate their lives to him etc. is how he made himself a god. that is what REALY happened.

Perhaps they did it for themselves? As I said in another thread, belief is powerful.

 

these ppl were not xtins,the did not believe that god cud heal them.......u under estimate the power of prayer.....i SAW this guy with my own eyes pray for this disabled guy! he layed hands on his chest and prayed in the holy spirit and this man lept out of his wheelchair with such force,fell to the floor,and just lay there cryin,then he just got up!

u can try sayin that god ahs no power,but there are to many sighns anbd too amny things happening in the lives of ppl around me today for u to try and convince me,im in too deep with ogd for u to lie to me and for me to accept it!
iv seen things and felt thing u cud only dream of,and if u dared to jusdt give god a chance,u wud soon see the amazin things that i ahv experienced

 

prayer indeed does have power, as do belief and faith, but this is not because of any god, it is the inate power of the human mind to affect its surroundings.

 

indeed faith and prayer is powerful,but those alon cannot function without god,for without god,who are we prayin to,without god,wat are we having faith in?

 

it's not about praying to something, it's about making reality conform to your will.

 

you are having faith in the fact what you want to happen will happen. basicaly faith in yourself.
