This really fucked with my head.I had this dream a few years ago when I was in college. I remember distinctly, clear as day, that I was waiting in line at the college cafeteria. When I got up to the food line, the server handed me a plate of food, and smiling, he said," Happy Earth Day!" So I returned his pleasant greeting, thought not much about earth day, and went down to sit and eat my food. When I awoke the next morning, I went to a few classes, and then headed to the cafeteria to have some lunch, still thinking half-curiously,about that extremely vivid dream. I was waiting in line as usual and when I reached the counter, I pointed out a few things I wanted. When the guy handed me my plate, he said (this is not a joke), "Happy Earth day man!" Instantly shivers went up and down my spine, and my mind began to race. That day was Earth Day. I had no previous knowledge of an "Earth Day" before then. I spent the rest of the day in this mystical stupor, as to how this could have happened. I had just dreamed this event down to almost the smallest details. I started thinking that maybe I had subconsciously seen or heard something about earth day the day before, and therefore, it decided for some reason or another to show up in my dream. But then, was it then just a simple coincidence that this guy(he looked different in my dream) serving me food wishes me a "happy earth day"? I'm not sure where I'm going with all of this, but that is certainly something I will never forget. I can still see the dream played out as if I had it just last night. When I had that dream, I was experiencing a bit of inner turmoil in my life..confusion about meaning, and delving into philosophical rabbit holes. After some thought, I began to think that perhaps the dream was a sign of some sorts. That there was this figure taking care of me, handing me sustenance(food), and wishing me good tidings. I took the dream to perhaps mean that, the earth will provide. Which is kind of cool because it fits in with my belief that we don't own the earth, the earth owns us.
Cool dream, and yes, it's precognition in a sense. i sometimes have dreams like this ... about things that happen, but yours was so nicely obvious and undeniable! I also agree with your thoughts about the dreams meaning.
