Am I Destined to be a groupie??

i have been, like, going to every concert involving local bands, and i have rocking out to them even when most of the audience seem bored. I always associate little concerts and local bands with good vibes and It's pretty much like a "summer of love" environment where nobody is a loser (yes, not even me.)and everybody is all nice, and there is no elitism whatsoever. People from bands other than the ones that are playing are also around to listen, and applaud just like anybody in the audience. I often act a tad bit hyper and slam dance all over the place. Moreover, I always buy cd's and t-shirts even when i'm really broke, and after the shows I don't have any money to buy much needed stuff like food and deodorant. A guy at the last concert told me that I should be a groupie, and that got me thinking.

Hahaha, groupies rock, they're the best type of people in the world!

But just be smart and still have money for food and stuff while supporting your bands.

Slam dance? Isnt that where they run around throwing their fists everywhere and kicking wildly? I hate that. With a passion. Some dumbass was doing that at the last concert I went to and hit one of my friends. My friend knocked him unconcious. Revenge is sweet.

 

actually I 'm a guy and yes, the word "groupie" can apply to a guy, also.

"Slam dances" around here are a lot more gentle, They don't involve kicks and fists at all. And I am always careful enough not to hit people who don't want any of it. The guy you encontered was probably an asshole who deliberately acted that way.

For the time being, i will go to every single concert and keep a dairy, and after five years or so, i will probably write an account of how awesome the local scene was. That would be an awesome project.

 

I made out with Jaques from Phantom Planet... I don't think he's in the band anymore, though. Which is cool. Now he has more free time... haha... I'm a loser.

 

you should take lots of pictures and write about the shows, its awesome to document the scene for lots of reasons.

 

And don't forget the make plaster casts of rock stars' penises.... You can use them to make celebrity dildos later...

I collect a lot of signatures though, as I always end of asking the bands to sign my cd's/t-shirts. There was this band, whose members actually signed my cd, and wrote me a message saying that i was a really wonderful fan .That just made my day
