Utorrent is coming to Mac

But it is still in beta

I just can't stand Azureus's memory hogging bitch ass, but at the same time I am drawn in by the sleek blue frog and lovely feature filled interface.

 

I use Utorrent all the time for music

 

I would use it, but I wouldn't want to emulate it for it to run on my computer. There are other clients for mac but all of them lack something that Azureus has, and Azureus usually has an advantage in speed as well.

 

i recently found a good vid and the latest utorrent update, the vid was a guide for improved speed. now my average on utorrent is around 1gb per 10hours from public torrents, 20-30min from TL.

now ive dled 7gb public torrents in one night, its mega awesome. the speed isnt stable, but it works very well.

and yeah, i pretty much use it for everything, but i dont try to make money of of Dl'd shit, i just enjoy it, and pass it on to my friends.

 

Azures is a very good and very fast torrent client... but like said in previous posts... its a RAM HOG.. its the adobe photoshop of torrent clients...

but seriously..stop saying to yourself "damn i wish there was a good torrent program for macs"... instead you should be saying to yourself "why the fuck do i own a mac"

those mac vs. pc commercials should just have a burnt out idiot for the mac guy going "i don't really know what a computer is.. let alone how to turn one on.. i just want to listen to music.. hangout with my friends on facebook and download porn"

No, I use a mac because the operating system KICKS WINDOZE ASS, and the hardware is down right sexy. Plus if any of your hardware failed Apple would be able to fix it, instead of you having to call different companies to get different parts fixed. Really though, what you described about the n00b computer user is the general population of PC users. Plus if I had a PC I would probably just run Linux anyways.

Yeah I know, but times where I have gone out of my way to include special symbols, Hipforums wouldn't actually do it when I went to post and would leave me with some fucked up letter.

i guess what i'm pricking at (as in, being a prick about) is that it's "mu-torrent" b/c that's a Mu in front of "torrent" so to call it "u-torrent" is incorrect and lazy when it's not hard to just type "mu" instead of searching around your character map to find the actual mu symbol

but as i said, making mountains out of molehills

(i've always wanted to use that phrase)

 

μ is the symbol for the prefix micro, but like you said is the Greek letter mu. I just kept calling it the micro sign since it would actually be microtorrent.

i mean sure.. its nice that there's a computer out there for the computer illiterate.. mac.. but you should probably just own a LeapFrog instead
