Something you are for? It relieves the large telecommunication industry from costly past liability, who is really serving the working American or they all serving multi-national corporations. I for one don't want them logging my google searches, they have no idea why am searching, they have no right to even know that I am searching. I say NO!

Senator Feingold and Dodd managed to delay the vote until tomorrow with their honest outspoken resistance, can the rest of us do less.

If we blink they'll pass this sucker. They thought they had it in the bag in February, let's tell them where to stuff their bag!

Cue the "If you do nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about" folks.

I'M NOT BREAKING THE LAW SO WHY SHOULD I CARE ABOUT WARANTLESS SEARCHES?

I'M NOT BREAKING THE LAW SO WHY SHOULD I CARE ABOUT MY PERSONAL INFORMATION BEING GATHERED? AS LONG AS IT MAKES ME SAFER I DON'T CARE!

"Those who would give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

But now they have the signed sealed privelege to do so. Bush wasted no time signing it. Everything we protested for in the sixties and seventies has been thrown away in the name of security, and what guarrantees do you have? We don't actually know who was responsible or 09/11, if it was Bin Laden we haven't smoked him out, if it was the Saudis we now offer them nuclear capabilities, and what of the anthrax, we couldn't even in eight years discover who sent it?

They say there have been no further attacks on our soil, but can you be so sure? What of the Queen's plane crash, what of the poisioning of our pets, what about the response to Katrina or the increasing incursion of illegal aliens after we let them pass Nafta and we turn a blind eye to the SPP? What about the new tomato scare? But you keep allowing them increasing power to infringe on your freedoms, why?.... the promise of financial security they haven't even produced a return on that. What does it take to wake up! Or the many corrupt products we continually buy from foreign sources that later are proven to affect your family's health. How secure are you? And now you allow them to monitor your communications, and the companies that do it are held above the law, much as the private contractors telling your sons and daughters what to do in foreign countries are, while your sons and daughters go to jail for following orders. When will you wake up?

What about the anthrax who sent it? Wasn't that a further attack on our soil? Does Bush own that? Has he ever mentioned that it's never been resolved.
