I'm looking for people to help me start a regular (monthly or quarterly) Really Free Market in West Chester. What is that? It's a casual event where people bring stuff they don't need to give away for free and people come to find stuff they do need - again, for free! Everything is 100% free. Items commonly found here will probably be clothing, books, toys, seasonal items, CDs and DVDs, etc. There may also be people offering free services like hair braiding, craft projects, gardening tips, musical performances, etc. We're still at the start of planning stages and I'd love to hear from a couple people interested in helping out! Also, we need a space within walking distance of the center of town (West Chester) where we can hold this event. Thank you and hope to hear from you!!
Great, snocbor! I'll keep you updated on when it's going to happen. Still need some folks to help me get it off the ground...if you know anybody, please send them my way. Thanks!
Wish I could help. I grew up in West Chester in the 70's. Had the best time of my life in the 80's. Left for VT when it went yup in the 00's..*sNiFfLe* Ask the church on High St. across from the 7-11 if they will donate space or Holy Trinity(next door). They have done that before. The parking lot on Chestnut St. might let you double up with the weekend veggie vendors, too (??) Good Luck !!
Man I wish I could ... but I dont have a car ... I would totally be there Like duck said please keep us updated
Thanks for the interest, everybody! I ended up having too many projects going on and haven't really worked on this yet. I think I'll revisit this idea in the spring. I think we could definitely give this a try!
