For almost 11 months I have not watched t.v. I did turn it on 3 months ago for maybe a weeks time, but got bored. I have received most my news from the web, radio or newspaper the question is, did I miss anything of any importance?
The world ended, damn I thought it was all to end in 2012, damn internet, let this be a lesson to all t.v. is human beings only information source.
Yeah Big Brother installed a camera in your house and the whole world has been watching your every move for the last 11 months.
I haven't had a TV for 16 months...course there is 1 out in the TV room but everytime I walk thru there, the guys in the building are watching news or sports...so I don't bother with that TV
I stopped watching TV for like a year, because it really felt like it was draining my mind. But now I enjoy watching it more than ever in moderation, for like an hour or 2 before I go to sleep every other day.
I've been without television for about 5 months...not nearly as long as the other folks in this thread. It wasn't a choice. I was getting the free cable because it wasn't turned off when I moved in. They finally figured it out and yanked it though. Now, the rare occasion that I get to watch...it's like looking into a window at some fucked up culture. I don't know how to explain it really. I don't miss it much, that's for sure. I can catch Squidbillies episodes online so I'm set, lol.
TV is soooo horrible. Full of all that crap and advertisement BS. I'm soooooo glad the internet strays away from that!!!
I haven't watched tv for between 5-7 years. there's only a couple things I really miss PBS discovery channels history channels food network
I do miss the discovery channel also and classic cartoons, but since looney tunes was pulled from most stations, the new ones were never the same.
