newradicalface your wrong if you don't leave the flame touching the pipe and just have the weed burning than the pipe won't get hot, the only types of pipe i use are all metal and i have never burned my lips once, although i do know how to smoke from a pipe properly in the first place. Not trying to cause a fight just my opinion, i have smoked out of glass pipes and wooden ones just perfer the metal ones for some reason.

I don't leave the flame touching the pipe but the cherry still burned hot enough to make the pipe hot. I can understand if you were just smoking by yourself, but in a group rotation it is going to get hot as shit fast.
