How much longer before the United States is no longer a superpower of the world? I say if a muthafucka doesn't nuclear bomb and sabotage the whole world in the same blow, there's no stopping the states from advancing, and advancing, and advancing... And if you do believe US will be out of power, who in your opinion will be the next in charge. My take is China ...
The US is not a superpower anymore it's become a stupidpower as far as I'm concerned.Actually the best thing that could happen is if the US just took care of domestic issues, spent it's money on its citizens, and let the rest of the world take care of themselves. In other words no longer being a super/stupid power.Oh and by the way China already is a superpower and has been for quite a long time.
China is far from a superpower, yes they're a regional power and a world power along with the other most powerful countries on Earth, but even in their backyard Japan is more powerful then them, economically and I'd bet militarily too, while the Chinese military is far larger the technology and equipment differences by far make Japan's better. Russia, Japan, China, and to a lesser extent I's say Britain, France, Germany and soon India you can call world powers, but none of them come close at the current time to be able to rival the US's military, economic and cultural dominance around the world.
Once the dollar collapses, the US will no longer be the superpower it is today. It's already been in a decline for the past ten years as more and more US military power is handed over to NATO. The next superpower (and policemen of the world) will be China, and this will happen over the course of the next 5-10 years.
There's more than one way to be a superpower. China practically owns the US as it is. Didn't fire a shot either. Russia is likely the New United States in this century. Resources rich. High nationalism. And enough nuclear warheads to dissolve any troublemakers. Once that get a handle on government corruption, these is the place to be. Brazil could be a serious contender from South America in a few more decades. x
Seems all the Experts can make predictions (5-10years) (decades) in advance, but yet dodged the "Predict the Future" thread here. And it was only for 1 year.
Also, while yes China does own in actual numbers a pretty good amount of our debt, in percentage terms it's not that large http://www.data360.org/graph_group.aspx?Graph_Group_Id=609 The Japanese are actually ahead of them
China will be the next world power, and Japan will be a major partner of theirs. It will hurt when America collapses, but the wealthy will be jumping from buildings and I'll be laughing. The working class always gets by. But it'll be great seeing those execs splattering up the sidewalks.
This actually plays out rather conveniently. The US loses its status as the lone superpower of the world to China. To recover its losses and to try and regain power and leverage, the US forms the North American Union.
the US will be a superpower for the next couple hundred years at least. you have to have good citizens, the rule of law, a good economy (i.e. strong middle class), and a strong military with nukes to be a world power. Britain can be considered a world power. china is getting there, and might archive that within my lifetime.
Who do you consider the wealthy to be? The guy a couple streets down who owns a big house and a yacht??
Are you trolling? The US has its hand in too many honey jars. It's taking its toll on the enconomy and the dollar is lower than its ever been. The middle class is disappearing. The gap between rich and poor is widening. Soon there will be no middle class. If you consider a good rule of law a total police state and good citizens as complacent citizens then yeah sure, why not?
