I was thinking about making a lighbulb vaporizer, just for a new way to blaze. I've pretty much got the method down, but I read in one place you should use a burnt out bulb- is this true, or can I just use a brand new one? Edit: Also, I've heard a few times that they can break/shatter while you're hitting it. Will getting a highter watt lightbulb minimize this risk? I'm also hearing that there are harmful chemicals in the lightbulb like mercury... is this anything to worry about?
I'm sure it wouldnt matter if you used a burnt out lightbulb or not, either would work. and if you arent carefull then it may shatter.
If there is that white film on the inside of the lightbulb, put some salt in it and shake it around until it's all out. Then rinse it out with water, but make sure the inside is completely dry before using it. If it is still moist it is far more likely to shatter. I've used the same lightbulb vape for awhile now, never had one break on me. It just takes patience - people get too impatient and hold it too close to the flame. Also, take a few minutes between hits to let the bulb cool down, or rotate the weed in the glass so you aren't heating the same part over and over again. I love my lightbulb vape, it's the only way I can in my room because the smell is so, so light.

I tried making this, but barely any smoke or vapour came off the weed, and some of the weed sorta stained the glass
i was with a dumbass kid who was smoking out of a lightbulb vaporizer, and he didnt take out the film, so he was just burning and inhaling the film. he ended up ruining about .5
