i heard you get aches and pains coming down from a trip and it makes u cant sleep when u try to. is this all lies?
as far as aches and pains, I don't recall ever experiencing any, except in the jaw from smiling/laughing too much. In terms of sleeping, I mean lucy keeps you awake, that's why you can go all night on it, so I mean I guess there may be a brief period of time that you really want to go to sleep, epsecially once your down from your tip, but your mind is still awake. It's generally not all that bad. But that's been in my experiences.
I usually get a funny but very tolerable pressure pain on the back of my neck (where my skull is connected with my spine) when I trip high doses. I usually feel it towards the end of my trip. I read that this could be the partial release of DMT out of my brain and down towards my spine and is quite normal. Aside from that I guess the aches can come from sitting in certain positions for long amounts of time... Peace
one time when i took acid my back was kind of sore and stiff after. i dont think it was the acid that caused most of the aching. i had been doing some crazy shit in the woods and i think i just ended up going in a lot of akward positions which tired out my back or something
after reading this it sounds familiar, granted I tolerate pain well, I kind of enjoy that feeling. Like he says it's tolerable. If it was at all painful/unbearable I'd recall it without needing a reminder
I've never gotten any pain that was directly caused by LSD. Most people complain of pain because they do all kinds of crazy shit while tripping.
Well if the acid's strong enough (as it has been in the past) to keep the tripper sat down for hours on end spiralling deeper into the depths of his/her minds, it seems completely plausible for joints and muscles to seize up and ache or feel a bit odd when you do finally get up and go for a piss. It's not a problem though, it's not unbearable, and seeing as your body basically isn't your body anymore during a trip, walking's a mission and a half in itself anyway! I get weird sensations, especially in my mouth and sides of my face when tripping sometimes. Although unpainful, these sensations have been uncomfortable as hell on more the one occassion. You've got more chance of hurting yourself by stubbing your toe though.
Either practice yoga asana's that involve stretching during the comeup, or just simply sit on the floor and stretch. It works for me God Bless -
The feeling in your spine is normal, I've had it every time I've tripped and I think its just the way the acid gets to your brain, through your spine
Although blood travels through the spinal chord in veins, and the mind uses the cerbro/spinal medium to transmit nerve communication, LSD is absorbed in your bloodstream and carried to your brain as soon as it hits your tonge. The tongue is the first process of digestion. So no, that is incorrect Catbert, just FYI
I get this too. It feels like a warm tightening sensation. I think I even started a thread about it when I first joined.
According to Yogananda, the cerebro/spinal is the astral unit used to receive God's energy, or life energy, or Chi, etc. Basically, that which sustains us in actuality but has as of yet not been proven scientifically. Matthew 4:4 "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Yogananda says that the medulla oblongota is the 'mouth of God' and that the word, (John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.") is OM, or the projected 'word' of God that sustains life, the truth, Christ Consciousness, etc. and that bread represents worldy attachment, that man can not see that he is existing because of God's love rather than what he sees around him and can perceive with the 5 senses, ie - bread. Take that or leave it for what it means to you, Im just pointing something out God Bless -
yeah I remember the whole energy theory. Most people thought that I was simply focusing on a certain point, and holding the energy there instead of allowing it to flow through me. But, I've only tripped once, so I suppose I would have to try it again to test that theory out
my body is tense after i trip i shake my arms and try to loosen up or i get a massage haha but its not bad at all, nowhere near a hangover or anything
It feels nothing like a hangover. The only times I feel bad after tripping is if I do a lot of physical activity while I'm spun. If you're just chilling all day tripping, you should feel refreshed if anything.
