I think it was back in my college days where I would cut up hot dogs and put them in the pot with my packet of ramen noodles. Then I would drain all of the water out and add the flavor packet and chow down. But after a while, I would get bored with that and add in stuff from my fridge, like butter, Asian curry sauce, or chop up some scallions. Fast forward to today, and I still prepare them the same way whenever I crave them once in a blue moon. Only now, I leave in a little more water to get a saucy consistency, and instead of putting cold water in the pot, I preheat the stove top and use hot tap water so that they cook a lot faster. So how do/did you prepare your noodles? Maybe we can swap recipies.
when i was 15 i would eat the noodles straight out of the package like a cracker with penut butter...
I sometimes eat the noodles dry by themselves. I just season the cooked soup with Tony's. Man, I love Ramen so much.
Geeez. You have a lot of time. I just shove it all in my mouth as I run out the door. Plastic and all . I know I'm missing something. Peace.
i throw out the seasoning packet and put veggie broth in it. cause even the oriental flavor has beef broth in it. sometimes i put some veggies or other seasonings in it, but not usually, as it's just a quick and easy meal while at work.
with a can of diced tomatoes, bell peppers & garlic...forget the seasoning packet (to much sodium) and season it with your own spices
I don't eat ramen because I actually know how to cook. I can make a cheap and extremely nutritious meal without ever having to result to eating that shit. There mere though of the vile taste of those damn noodles makes me want to regurgitate all over a Vietnam veteran.
Yeah. That packet has so much sodium and preservative crap in it that it's not funny. Makes my joints swell up, and I don't know of anything else that does that to me. .
i actually know how to cook as well. but sometimes there is no time to cook. because someone has to go work and make the money (however little there is) to buy the food. i'm all about eating healthing and cooking cheaply and nutritiously. i'm a damn good cook. but you know, sometimes there aren't enough hours in the day.
I ate Raman for a couple of years.. and then it sucked.. So I learn to cook spaghetti with those little cans of tomato paste that cost 25cents. Now I make real food but the best Raman I ever ate was the noodles with a can of Chunky soup mixed in.
