so a 16 year old can walk in and buy pot or you gotta b 18

 

Hopefully enough people will sign it.... 700,000 doesn't seem like that many people really. As long as people hear about this I think it will pass.

But this will put a good amount of people out of business... (Poor me)

 

i hate to be a downer,but i really dont think that this is going to get passed at this time.
Sure California may be one of the more liberal states when it comes to marijuana and it legalization, but we still have sooooo many people who dont know what the fuck they are talking about who will, without question, or proper information say NO to any form of marijuana legalization*ex. my parents, and everyone in my immediate family 'cept me*. Though it is a big step to get it on the ballot *which will probably happen 700,000 ppl? not alot* 90% of me wants to say, it wont get passed.
And even if it does get passed the DEA is gonna be all over this shit in weeks, maybe days, shutting down liqor(sp) stores, and any other place that decides to sell.

But im crossing my fingers, and signing that petition, and come november i sure as hell am going out and voting for it. *if it makes it that far*

Umm yeah, thats a load of shit. What the hell would be the point? Medical weed is the best weed I have ever smoked.

 

I don't know, I think it will pass, but then get shot down when they get all the signatures. Marijuana has just gotten too much of a bad rap over the years, people won't just all of a sudden change their mind just because California has a petition to make it legal.

 

well i can tell you that i was 100% against weed.didnt care if people smoked it as long as i wasnt around it.i tried it a couple times when i was younger and didnt care for it.my psych doctor was surprised that i didnt do it and suggested that i give it a try cuz i wasnt eating or sleeping and constantly wound up and pissed off.so i tried it.it wasnt bad.it made me sleep at night,calmed my ass right down.but didnt make me eat.for some reason i dont get the munchies.im happy that i did start smokein it.i have had some of the best times of my life in the last 9 or so months since i started.only problem is i get the fuckin giggles instead of the munchies though.but thats ok with me.better than poppin a bunch of pills that quit workin after a few weeks.it also stops the migrains i have.i have bad migrain headaches that i wouldnt wish on my worst enemies.i have them everyday,all day.i wake up with one and go to sleep with one.smoke a joint and it goes away.i have not been able to get a medication that works for them in 20 years.buy a dime bag and the headache just disappears.

i wish some of my friends that are against it would try it.

 

you guyd do know that they are going to be charging out the ass for this stuff.
I was reading on yahoo the otherday and it said that they will be charging 80 for a 8th and also they are not going to sell really potent stuff for safety reasons

 

^In the bill thing though from the govt website it says something about 40 and 8th.

And even if the prices are rediculous at the stores, you take the sticker or the license and you keep it. and you buy from a street dealer. who in order to stay in business, will considerably drop their prices. Soon enough there will be sooooo much weed flooding the market that the big stores will have to drop their prices or stop selling.

I used to think pot smelt like chopped up onions. It's hard to quit smoking weed. And get pissed off when you don't have any, then it really sucks. I wish they would make it legal here but don't see that happening no time soon

 

wow - $50 per plant - I understand you only pay that one time per year, but ... that seems a little steep.

But really, if this passes and the public sees that california hasn't turned to anarchy (considering the feds don't shut anything related to marijuana sales down) then things will begin moving in the right direction. Hopefully, colorado will be next :tongue:

 

Hell half the police force here smokes weed then they wanna bust you for it, Hell our sheriffs daughter got caught drunk driving on the wrong side of the interstate and shes getting by with it. He just got elected Sheriff now he's about to get impeached. I mean, When they do a drug bust here probly about 1/4 of the drugs go into edvidence and the rest goes to the police, so you tell me.

 

Are you on crack or just really stoned. This bill will DRASTICALLY REDUCE THE COST OF HERB, AND THE PROFIT OF GROWING IT! GO AND SIGN THE BLOODY PETITION, I SURE AM!

 

but then you can still get it from the normal sources that have the good shit.

 

maybe it will reduce base cost *idk the proper terms* but then you have to add in CA Taxes, and other regulatory measures that will just be added onto the price, but yes the price should come down slightly, atleast for a lil, untill the stores start to realize that they can make big bucks off this and start raising prices.


Plus, i think that even if this gets passed, many stores that sell liqor(sp) are run by small shop owners and families, i dont think they would want to risk having thier place of business shut down by the feds just for selling pot.
