Well, I was thinking our community college this winter so I can work my way up to Oregon State. But I'm just not sure yet.
oh, i will say congrats on passing the test. i just see no reason to celebrate making your life harder so that you can hurry up and be done with the easiest part of it
ok, if you're planning on college then it isn't so bad... but i have to ask why a college-bound student would want to drop out and get the GED?
congrats. school is way overrated, especially college. figure out what you want to do first, and THEN if you need college, go for it. live real life a little first, cause it's sure to change your opinion of what you want to do. live on your own, work a job, figure out what you want your life to look like. it helps, i promise!
that's a reason to finish high school then put off college for a bit (and a damn good one i'll mention) but it doesn't explain quitting school so you can go to college right on schedule anyway with a lesser diploman...
I left early cuz I had way too few credits and would have been there until I was 20! I don't even know if I'll do college because I can't figure out what I wanna do yet. I'm thinking something in English but I just don't know.
hmm... i'd say maybe do the community college part time while working for now... that way you get a taste of both worlds...
Maybe I'll do that... I'm kinda thinking about journalism and take after my cousin but I've heard that it doesn't work out for most people and they wasted their time in the class.
Way to tell that to a 17 year old. Jesus christ lady. Maybe the schooling is, but the end result is NOT overrated.
yeah, that's something you have to have a real knack for. only the best (or luckiest) make it anywhere, the rest work for their hometown papers or go into unrelated fields (one of my bosses in the pizza company i work for has a journalism degree) not trying to discourage you; i don't know how your writing is beyond the forums, which isn't the best indicator
