Hey guys, I need to have a rant about Jeremy Kyle...for those of you who don't know he's like Jerry Springer but in England. I don't watch his show very often, but on my days off now I just put the television on in th mornings and there he is. But anyway, to my rant! There was a guy/girl couple on it and they were about to have a kid and the guy was bi. And Mr. Kyle asked him how he knew he could commit to a woman without wanting to go off with a guy. I was really insulted by this. I hate the way that people think bis don't know the meaning of the word monogomy. There are plenty of straight people who cheat on their other halves, so why is it almost expected of bis to cheat? GRR!! OK, I'm done. Sorry about that
Please don't insult Jerry Springer like that. Jeremy Kyle has absolutely no redeeming features by comparison. He's like Springer without the brain or conscience. How did they answer, out of interest? Did anyone point out the bleeding obvious - that Kyle makes a career out of parading the infidelities of straight couples on television and never has anything to say about them being heterosexual? And of course, you can flip it: who's to say a bi guy won't cheat on his woman with another woman? Maybe he's just dicked off because if the bi guy cheats on his woman with a dude there'll be no prospect of Scandalous DNA Test Results On Jeremy Kyle! But yeah, it's pretty messed up that people have the idea that, if a bi person cheats, it's because a pair of tits and no cock is never going to be enough, but when straight people cheat, it's actually worth combing through why they did it. Basically implies that bi people are emotionless fuckmachines and can't be expected to behave otherwise.
I would like to start by stating I love Jerry Springer and his exploits because he allows the people to exploit themselves. That's the brilliance of it. That is rather insulting and close-minded. I mean, I totally agree. It's not just because you're bi that you're going to cheat. It just means that you would have been equally as likely to end up with some guy as you would have your wife.
I truly think that non bi people don't get that it isn't like we get in a relationship and think, oh, I can never have sex with someone /some gender other tan this person. Well, that's commitment. I see men and women who are attractive. Won't go cheating, I made a promise, and gave my word and my heart. The spirit I fell in love with just happened to be in a male. there's also the chance that it can be Ok with a partner for the other or both to have non-emotionally involved relationships outside of the bond, but it is up to both to decide, and change the rules if problems pop up.
Well, I'm not bi, and I get it. It's really not that hard to get, to be honest. There's just a lot of stupid people around. I've also met bi people who do cheat, and hetero partners who put up with it, and it sickens me.
