in the future, i'd recommend that you expose the mushrooms to light only from the top, darkening the sides of your terrarium as to direct their growth upward. i made the same mistake my first time and ended up having some mushrooms with insane shapes and deformities as a result.
looks like the cake is really wet. i would get a tad more fresh air exchange going on, and as the above poster said a light at the top a few hours a day. other than that looks great!
Yeah, definitely get more fresh air in there. The fuzziness means your humidity is too high. You want ropy mycellium. But wait until the veil that connects the cap to the stem breaks completely. If you need a print, wait until they're completely flat and you can see little bits of purple spore deposits on the stem.
Just eye balling this, how many grams would that be? Trying to figure out how many you get per rice cake~~ thanks !!!!
Also: There are a couple of odd little ones there that looked like they never fully matured, can you eat those two? Or do you just leave them be? After harvesting, do you just toss it? Do more grow on it somehow?
Keep it as dry as possible. The only only parasite you want on there si the actual shrooms. But don't take it out of it's enclosure. Keep it ni a steralized environment. Damp conditions provide thriving conditions for unwanted parasites. If you wait til the veil breaks , you can get a spore print. And you know what that means.....
