did you buy them or pick them?

they do look very similar to liberty caps, but im not anywhere qualified to identify mushrooms for other people.

You need to go out with some one who knows what they're doing. Liberty caps have a thin, slightly shiney membrane on the top of the cap. If you pull the "gills" apart, you should be able to see the membrane. the ones in your picture look similar, but I don't think they're what you're looking for. That said, you would be crazy to base your identification on anything some one like me told you on a site like this.

They look an awful lot like LC's, but I don't think they are either. I'm no mycologist, however.

I'm no "expert" but I've taken excessive amounts of shrooms and I would never eat those.

keep in mind that what is pictured here is still fresh. Not dried out... so you would need to be asking those who know what the fresh LCs look like. Either way, i dont know anything. So sorry. You could try them, and you would find out then. I doubt you'll die, but it's probably nothing a trip to the hospital couldn't take care of.

If you live on vancouver island by anychance... i hear every square inch patch of grass is invaded by liberty caps during the spring (or maybe its fall) months. So 9.99/10 chance they are liberty caps in that case.

Liberty Caps do not contain Psilocin and therefor do not bruise blue, Liberty Caps are common as shit, easy as shit to find out here in the fall. Those are not Liberty Caps, if you eat those you will shit out your liquified organs within seven days for sure.

those dont look like liberty caps. LCs have a much longer stem than that, relative to the size of the cap
