Percocet, How/ How much should i take?

I recently got a prescription filled for Oxycodone, a generic form of Percocet in order to relieve some of the pain incurred as I had my wisdom teeth removed. I used the first 15 properly, and proceeded to get another prescription filled unnecessarily. When I would take 1 pill every 4-6 hours (5 mg) I would rarely feel any obvious pain relief or altered state, though I'm sure they were doing there job to alleviate some pain.

Here's my question: What dosage and what method of ingestion should I use for my first experience with these narcotics? I am no stranger to altered states of consciousness, though I am definitely more familiar with marijuana and various psychedelics and stimulants than with opiates and things of that nature.

I have approximately 10 pills remaining, each containing 5mg of oxycodone and 325mg acetaminophen. These are round white tablets, with one side displaying WATSON 749, and the other just a small indentation forming a line. I have read that large amounts of acetaminophen can cause nausea, and that a cold water extraction would do a great deal to separate these two active components from one another.

I have tried insufflating one pill in conjunction with alcohol use but it seemed to produce little obvious effect.

So what's the verdict? How should I use these for the optimal experience?

I also have generic Vicodin in the form of Hydrocodone pills that are 5 mg as well. I have six of these at my disposal. I am assuming that these are essentially the same thing.

 

Take 4, swallow them with a soda or juice, and that's it. Have fun. If you get nauseas just lay on your back and it should pass. The upset stomach is from the opiate, not the tylenol.
Any more than 4, go for a cold water extraction but even if you decided to take more, one time isnt really going to hurt your liver.
And btw Oxycodone is not a generic form of Percocet, Oxycodone is the name of the refined Thebaine, it's what the chemicals actual name is. Percocet is a brand of Oxycodone, just like Percodan, or Roxicet.

what should i expect in terms of time to come up, duration of the high, and intensity if you don't mind my asking?

 

Not at all!
Come up should take anywhere from 15-30 minutes, I am hyper sensitive to many drugs and could feel the warmth of opiates, even when taken orally, in as little as 5-10 minutes. But that's just me. You should feel your body relax and your mood steadily but slowly increase into euphoria over the course of an hour.
Duration of the high tends, for me, to be about 2 hours, and then the fixed state of relaxtion and apathy last for another 2-3. My sleep is always effected by even 10mg's of Oxycodone, I suffer from repetitive and consecutive episodes of Hypnagogia with Sleep Paralysis. Im not sure why, but I guess they call Morphine after the god of dreams for one reason or another :tongue:
Intensity? Hard to say, we are all different. Should be fairly intense though if it's your first opiate experience. Nothing like laying there unable to move and drooling at the mouth intense, but at first a very talkative, rush feeling followed by complete chilling. You may hit a nod once the initial high wears off, but you probably wont on 20mgs.

it's been about an hour and I feel nothing... any ideas?

do i just have a high tolerance to opiates? I have always suspected..

 

Just take some more, or save the rest for a couple of days and eat them. If you've been taking the prescribed amount the passed couple of days or longer, then you may have acquired a slight tolerance. Tolerance is a bitch with opiates. If I eat 40mg of oxycodone or hydrocodone one day, then I wouldn't get high off of 80mg the next day, or even for about 4 days after eating the initial 40mg.
