California to legalize!

Hope this isnt a repeat, but California needs about 700,000 signatures to have an initiative on the upcoming ballot...

This will allow EVERYONE to legally smoke weed.

This is big.

Its being called The Inalienable Rights Enforcement Initiative. From the full text of the measure:

This initiative will amend the Constitution of California to defend and safeguard the inalienable rights of the People against infringement by governments and corporations, providing for the lawful growth, sale, and possession of marijuana. Marijuana will be taxed through a system of stamps and licenses--a $5 stamp will be required for the sale of an eighth ounce of marijuana and a $50 annual license will be required for the growth of one marijuana plant. To protect participants and encourage participation in the system, such licenses and stamps will be available anonymously in stores where marijuana is sold.​

So instead of getting some quack doctor to give you a prescription for $100 because of your supposed "anxiety" or alleged "insomnia", you will just pay an extra tax each time you buy yourself another 8th.

Aside from allowing all willing adults to be able to buy weed easily, this initiative will start to generate revenue for California, and stimulate our struggling economy. More weed stores means more jobs for Californians, more taxes to be collected, and more people enjoying better weed. And finally marijuana will be put into the same file as Alcohol and Cigarettes where it belongs, instead of it being equated with crack-cocaine and heroin.

If this deal was a bag of weed it would Id have to stop and think if I was getting ripped off or not.

It will generate more income for the state but make weed more expensive to grow and buy. But if they remove it from the controlled substances list and you cant get busted for possession or distribution anymore, thats very very cool.

 

For medical purposes but not just for the general population of adults

 

well... whether or not it will become legal in california.. it all comes down to the fact that its still a Federal offense and its still illegal

 

Has anyone of you ever smoked medical pot?? I heard it has no thc content in it so whats the point in smoking it?

So um it is real herb?? Because it's been said medical marijuana, when smoked it only makes you eat, but the way I see it all weed makes you munch out like a bitch....so..I could like say hey i have glaucoma and they give me free bud..hell yeah let me find out

Where did you hear it's not real weed? THC and weed are entirely legal under California state law providing you have a prescription and stuff.

 

Well you see i'm from the east coast like north carolina east and you cant even get medical pot here for glaucoma now they give you eye drops. that sucks major ass. so therefore I have no expirence in medical pot.

 

And most of the pot I smoke comes from mexico. is that like that for you guys?? except for when people grow that time of the year.

 

This is true, even if Cali legalizes it, the feds can still go after users regardless.

What is so hard to understand? It's just marijuana that has been legalized by the state for medical purposes. It's not weed with polka dots and no THC content.

And no this initiative is not going to work. Stoners don't vote.
