So my Show cat Lil Bopeep died oh maybe 4 months ago i have another cat who is a rescue we got her and have had her MANY yrs. She always goes 0-60 in 2.5 secs. She'll be playful than 2 seconds later she'll hiss and bite you and it isn't at all playful. I was a bit worried after lil bopeep died because my first thought was will this get worse and we have 2 kids( well my hubby does), So this morning i get up, and shes all lovey dovey and wanting attention and she bit me till my finger was numb and ran away. about a month ago i called the vet and the vet told me to either tap her nose spray her with water (we got rid of bopeeps bed) and/or put her on time out out in her bed till shes ready . Now i know cats have very lil memory don't get me wrong. i show her my boo boo. and say ouchie thats not nice in a firm tone. So i'm getting to my point sorry its taking so long. But today like i said i was playing with her and i told her if you do that to momy again you'll be in there all day Seanna that hurt my feelings . So what does she do, Goes in her bed and sulks, and looks at me with pupy dogs eyes. Could she be going through depression. Shes been excellent about bopeep passing away no poop or pee accidents or behavioural problems. I just started a new job which consists of various hrs Could that maybe upset her because thats not her routine anymore i do play with her in the morning give her , her treats water food and play. Than i do tell her where mommy and daddy are going how long we'll be and if the kids are coming she gets so excited when the kids are here she was climbing the walls when my youngest daughter was here and running the halway in 2 secs. She loves the kiddos. When they aren't here she lays on the beds and meows. Could she be going through a phase?? What can i do for her?? Make me wanna cry Report Post
Just like humans animals get depression. Maybe shes feeling lil confused as to why she doesnt have the other cat around? The best you can do is be there for you cat. Somethings that might work: Another cat? (depends on how old your cat is if its too old a kitten may annoy the older cat) , petsmart is a good place to hangout with you animal gets a chance to meet newer animals, cuddle it, a fish (yeah i know you think fish you think the cats gonna eat it, no they just like to watch them most of the time,its like cat tv.) Its good your cat isnt going around havin accidents , watch for them. A clean bowl of cat grass inside the house, and if you talk to cat and show its not alone believe it works. Animals are just like you and me, heck cats even get stretch marks! LOL But you may want to just keep an eye on the cat.
