You know the umbilical cord? That's where your baby is getting all his/her nutrition from. Out of YOUR bloodstream...

You work in an animal hospital? And you don't know this??

And YES, smoking goes into the lungs and from there to the blood stream. How do you think oxygen gets into your blood cells ?

If you smoked pot before you realized you were pregnant, don't panic. The chance that your baby has been affected is very small. Still, it's important to be honest with your practitioner about your previous use of pot and other recreational drugs. She may want to run some extra tests to be sure your baby is developing normally.

Now I personally just got out of a college health course and we were taught about the effects of smoking on babies, so that's where my facts come from.

 

we are not bashing you - maybe thats how your taking it but we are trying to help you. When you give birth wynter - you'll say thank you its a whole different bowl of cheerios .
