I uploaded my itunes library to my nano, and some of the artist look like this
    The pixies,
    Pixies
    pixies
    pixies,the
    THE PIXIES
    Modest
    Modest mouse
    the modest mouse
    ect.

How do I change it so that all the songs from one artist are just under one catagory? Help?

Rename them from iTunes on a computer.

A work-around (not a fix) would be to create a playlist for each artist and drop the related songs into the playlist. Then just browse for the artist under playlists and have all that artists songs in one place.

Yeah I wish that Apple could make a way to figure out the size of the track and the length and then auto-detect based on that and info in the song title to automatically suggest the correct artists/song names.

It would be nice at least...

But for now it's manually changing them on Itunes.

Select them all using command or control or something, then right click (or control click for some macs) and hit get info. You can edit the info for all of the songs by one artist at the same time.
