The Boston Celtics victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA finals, I’m still on cloud nine :cheers2: Hotwater
yyyeaaah, or a good beer..is it a good beer? the toast should be reflectant upon the quality of the beer
It's a warsteiner, a rheinhiensgebot german pils of superior quality. Sadly not an organic orkney ale, but the hash makes up for it. The first toast goes to Aerosmith and more specifically Ac/DC with the legendary Bon Scott, who died a truly rock and roll death! Oh look, a second toast is up for grabs.
The second toast goes to - Possibly being able to cultivate aspargus on Mars maybe at some time in the distant future! :cheers2: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7477310.stm
I can't see it. I can't see anyone's sig because I turned them off ages ago, people have humungous pictures in them and it slows the page load down. People should know this.
Third toast goes to Dizzy Rascal, Calvin Harris and some other rapper (not Jay-Z) who just did an excellent rap jam on Glastonbury backstage on t' telly just now.
fuck yeah you can toast to rock music!! ps mecleodganja, i just left a place called mcleod ganj, you don't happen to be there do you??
McLeodGanj in the Himachals? I was there in around November for 6 weeks in the year 2001 AD. What's it like there these days, still the same? Is my painted rock still there at the painted rock chai cafe by the sort of waterfall?
still very hippiesh, i was there for 5 months...and loved almost[ every minute of it!! I'm sure that rock is stll there! which one did you paint?
This one. It's called gaia-noia. I wish I hadn't painted the stars round the moon and the little saturn thing, although in a way it does add a kind of Clockwork Orange thingyness to it. I chose the rock based on a geological feature that ran diametrically through the middle of it and drew inspiration from that. I painted what I perceive to represent the 5 elements in sanskrit theology, air, fire, water, and earth all of which are symbolised in the colourful left side, and the right side is the ether. I also didn't find that meaning it until I saw the photograph of it 6 months later when I returned home and then read a book on ayurvedic health. Be nice to know if it is still there, I'm sure it is. I saw lots of really amazing paintings when I was there, some really imaginative stuff and also some very well painted images.
