After performing the cold water extraction on morning glory seeds, how long does the liquid substance stay effective? Can it be kept in the refrigerator for a significant amount of time? Does it have to be consumed soon? Is refrigeration necessary to keep it fresh?

refrigerate it, but it will start losing potency after a couple days. don't save it for longer than maybe a week or so.

I once froze the extract of about 150 MG seeds, and after about 8 days it had about the same potency as I would have expected, perhaps a bit less. Hard to say precisely because it never hits me the same way. I've also kept a smaller amount in liquid form in the fridge for about 3-4 days and it seemed to maintain its potency (see caveat above), but I did notice that the liquid went from a milky white/beige color to a reddish color. Not sure what causes that. Some form of oxidation presumably, but not sure if it affects the active compounds. Anybody have any ideas about the color change?
