Hi, I want to knot a macrame belt, but I don't know any good pattern. I know most basic macrame knots. Is there any experienced "macrame-maker" on these forums who knows a good pattern? Its quite a thik "rope" I want to use for this. It has a diameter of about 5 or 6 millimeters. eace: ghost
I basically just did an alternating square knot sinnet, nothing too fancy. I've made a few You can be creative with the number of knots you use, and make a pattern with that mine basically went like: . = one square knot . . . . . . . . . . . . . etc... you could go: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ....or any other pattern Its really up to you! ^.^
??????Oh dear! That sounds wonderful but I am lost. I can do some basic macrame and all but when I tried(this very day as a matter of fact)that pattern to make a bracelet like the one I swapped for at hemp fest-well it went wonky quickly and was all down hill from there. The one I swapped for is tidy, tight and flat. My attempt was messy(even thought I pulled tight) and didn't look at all like there WAS a distinguishable pattern! argh! I sure wanted to make a few for barter fair next week...anybody have any sage and knotty advice? bb Delfynasa
