Whats up guys. Well I just joined a band, I am playing bass for them. We have a rough track up, and when I say rough I mean really, really, really, fuckin' rough. You should go check it out. BTW its straight fucking "death-core" but metal has to many sub-genres so I will just call it metal Feel free to add us! myspace.com/tosaveadyingworld
Ive got room to talk, but dude you need a sound board, and some correct micing. Did you hear it? its full of distortions and noise, Your gona have to get some software or something to correct that before you record it. Try to mic from another device and drop your imput volume into pa, or drop your output volume and record from a Line out. But your trying.. COOL... "WERE ALL TRYING<>> nice dreams... lol..
hmmm death-core, my 2 least favourite sub-genres of metal. Its got potential tho. I like the first riff.
You need a mixing board, or atleast a video camera with a high qualty microphone. And tune those god damn guitars up, thats why it sounds so damn fuzzy not to mention like a cheap slipknot cover. And does your drummer have a double kick pedal? Because that song could actually have some serious potential if it had some double kick. Just tune the guitars up, get a better recording device, and please stop the singing. I know your trying to make the vocals sound like that, but it sounds like the guys making fun of randy blythe from Lamb Of God
That recording was done with a cheap ass mic. We are investing in some better recording equipment. Honestly the recording doesnt do the song justice. Oh and we play in B because we like the low heavy sound it gives.
Thats what I thought, Cheap mic... Fix it with a pillow!! Reduces Terble some.. Get a simple low pass filter. The concept of a low-pass filter exists in many different forms, including electronic circuits (like a hiss filter used in audio), digital algorithms for smoothing sets of data, acoustic barriers, blurring of images, and so on. Low-pass filters play the same role in signal processing that moving averages do in some other fields, such as finance; both tools provide a smoother form of a signal which removes the short-term oscillations, leaving only the long-term trends(clear sound) Get what you put into it... Buy used stuff, saves money!< and gives your equipment a classic feel... Keep trying. Good luck..
UPDATE. We have a new better version of that song up. Still a little fuzzy when he kicks in the double bass but it sounds alot better than the other version.
Tune the guitars to drop D And not to be rude, but is your singer actually sing like that? Or his he just fucking around?
i feel horrible, but i agree singing was horrible, allthough i hate music like that, too much distortion. the beggining was really good - the later not so imo.
dude i dont know, take this as constructive criticism. i mean im learning an intrument, and im kind of in a band - and when we play to friends, i know how tough it is when they have no clue of the work or anything and just meh its kk. needs work imo, work on it and thats it. be aware of of people who just say baaah its shite and fuck off without atleast giving reasons.
I understand that its constructive critisism. I know it still needs work too. Its really really hard to get a good recording when all you have is one mic and a shitty recording program though. The one up now is definatly better quality then the one before though.
DUDE! kick ass!!! When you get some decent recording equipment that song is gonna be the fucking shit!! Kudos!!!! Keep up the good work
You need to change your band name... it sounds like a Christian band. You also need to kill your lead singer, who has no vocal talent what-so-ever. Even his scream sucks. I'd also suggest restraining yourself from using cheap power chord repetitions. Lots of room for improvisation and originality in Core... even though the entire genre is indeed one of the worst metal genres.
I happen to like his vocal abilities quite a bit. Reminds me of vocalists from bands like Suicide Silence, Job For A Cowboy, Emmure, and the like. Sounds good to me. Also we dont rely completely on "cheap power chord repetitions". If you were to actually listen to the guitar part you would hear the lead and rythym parts. Thank you though for you criticism. Im sorry we couldnt please you
