First off I have a shampoo that I'm wanting to use but I'm not sure if its a good one or not. So here's the ingredents Water, sodium laurly sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, oleamidopropyl betaine, cocamidopropyl betaine, tea tree oil, pepermint oil, algea/aloe, lavender oil, wheat germ oil, panthenol, glycol stearate, polyquaternium 7, citric acid, blue no 1, yellow no 5 and a few other things Its called tea tree special shampoo. Other than that what's the best or yalls favorite shampoo to use?
nobody's answered this yet? no, that's not really a good shampoo to use. I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone, dreads or not. those first ingredients (SLS) are especially bad. dr bronners is good. anything with natural ingredients will work really.
My philosophy is: if you cant pronounce it, avoid it. Bronners for sure. Works wonders for all stages of (pre)dreads.
yeah anything with SLS is not only bad for your hair, but bad for your health as well. Even still, it is found in many name-brand shampoos. and 'best' is a relative term. everyone prefers different things. A lot of people recommend Dr. B's or some other organic soap, I also like to use baking soda or aCV.
I highly recommend the liquid peppermint Bronners, it smells incredible and feels even better. I also have lavender bar Bronners, and I love that just as much. Lots of people like the tea tree, but I have tea tree essential oil, and I just throw a few drops of that in once a week or so. Robin
