This little Dog won't eat Dog food

All he eats is people food. I try to make him eat Eukanuba but when I give it to him he pees on it. It is really my chick's Dog and she just gives him what he wants. I think people food makes him smell bad. My chick gives him a bath every two weeks. But two days later he stinks again. I want him to eat Dog food but he won't.WTF he's a Dog he should eat dog food. Does eating people food make Dog's stink ?

just wondering, what kind of people food do you give him? i wouldn't be surprised if he stank from undernourishment... dogs require different proteins than humans... but then again, some dogs are just stinky, like italians.

 

He likes Ravioli. I don't think he is Italian. I think he is french. He is a Bichon frise. Maybe thats why he stinks. The French don't wash very much. And don't change ther underwear that much either. He just smells bad.

My parents' dog is chronically stinky, too. She was just born that way, I'm pretty sure.

 

my grandparents fed their dog human food, the dog became extremely obese to where it couldn't walk.. It was horrendous and sad at the same time...

 

ravioli sounds like a really bad idea for a dog....

 

Pour hot water over the kibbles and let them soak up the water. Maybe little Ravioli will eat it then.......and yeah quit giving the dog people food.

 

Yeah. But he likes it. He will just pee on his dog food. I don't know what the hell is wrong with him. I think he has been around my chick for to long.

I put water on my dog's eukanuba and zap it in the microwave. I then pour the excess water out of the bowl and put a couple of pieces of chicken mixed in with her dog food. Works like a charm. (She doesn't like her diet dog food)

 

i put my cats one a diet. they have more expensive food now, but they eat less of it and seem to be doing REALLY well. their fur is already better.

at any rate, dogs don't roam the wild eating kibble. i wouldn't worry about a dog eating scraps if they're high quality. i know i'm not good about eating leftovers.

 

Eukanuba is a tasteless over priced garbage dog food, imo..
Get it some kibblesnbits.. and some gravy.. Dogs with small teeth like soft food mostly. Large dogs as they get older want soft food also.. Just imagine yourself eating crunchy food all the time. it may also have teeth problems that need to be checked.
Heat effects a dogs appetite. If the dog is in the heat he may not be that hungry, or if another dog around is in heat as well.. The dog may be either male or female to be effected by the scent of another dog. Or other animals that are near by, may distract the dog and it will be less interested in food and more interest to figure out what that other animal is..

Heat and Hot tempertures, lack of exercise or ill health. Even neglect of love towards the pet will effect its behavior... If it does not feel welcome and you dont like its company, then you shoud hand it over to animal control..

Do not feed it people food and expect it to eat its food.. PPl food isnt all that good for a dog.. Especially a work dog, there isnt enough protine in ppl food to keep an work dog stong and actively healthy..

My puppy stopped eating for a few days, and I think she just disliked the dog food. I started mixing it with wet food until I bought her a different kind and that worked. He'll eat if he's hungry enough, you just have to let him know that he has to eat what you have. But I'm sure he'd appreciate it if you bought him flavored food. I buy all different flavors for my cat, switch it up sometimes, and he's content as could be.

 

well shit, i like snorting enormous amounts of cocaine and chain smoking... don't mean it's good for me.

i've heard it's good to feed your dogs good fresh dog meat. they gobble that shit up.

i wouldn't recommend the nuking the food idea... microwaves deplete the nutritional value in food. i try to avoid them when possible... but err maybe you could pour some milk on it, my dogs loved that. or get it wet food, like alpo.

 

A simple question..

Would you eat dog food if you knew that you could just wait around a get a nice plate of ravioli instead?

Dogs aren't stupid. There is one way and only one way to get him to start eating dagfood. Stop giving him anything else. When he is hungry enough, he'll eat it.

BTW, if you have so much good Italian food lying around that you can give ravioli to a fucking dog, could you please send me a nice seafood tagliatelle?
