I'm on ritalin, not every day - and I have a couple imovane pills that I use when I haven't had a good 8 hour sleep for a couple weeks.

On occasion I am over-worked, stressed out, unable to fall asleep or messed up with my sleeping patterns for a couple days, I've got bloodshot eyes and I take half an imovane pill to fall asleep and induce sleep.

There are rare occasions when I can't get a good night's rest because of noise, stress, and everything else in the world doesn't help.

I have no problems making an exception and taking medication to fall asleep. Ritalin is fantastic too.

    I love my medications.

    *hugs pill bottles*

I have only ever paid $2.22 for two prescription drugs. That is the most I've ever spent for a drug.

This whole "paying for your drugs" thing is foreign to me.

Oh, and MamaKCita, I've heard great things about University/College medical clinics who buy their drugs and sell them at wholesale prices in the USA so that students and such have access to lower cost drugs.

    Google wholesale drugs, perhaps?

the cost of most common prescriptions here in the U.S. is dropping like a rock thanks to wal mart..
they really seemed to have sparked a competition when they started offering the 4 dollar prescriptions,,or how much ever they charge,,aint much i know that..

I'll be getting my prescription for medical marijuana very soon... :)

Then I can grow, grow, grow!

In Calif I can also drive around with up to 8 oz with no problems.

and choose from dozens of varieties in hundreds of dispensaries until my crop comes in...

It truly is a magical medicine!

Now if Walmart starts selling it for $4 for a month's supply, I won't have to grow, right? Walmart-Kush anyone?

I have several conditions that cannabis completely fixes. Insomnia for one. If I don't smoke, I can't sleep. High Blood pressure for another (I also take hctz & enalapril to help manage that). My lower back pain too goes away with mj.

Cannabis keeps me from stressing out and obsessing over work (the reason I can't sleep). Stress is the #1 cause of aging in case you didn't know. Cannabis immediately distracts my train of thought, so I no longer obsess and can relax (lowering my B.P.)

I also take allergy med, zyrtec (generic = certirizine), which no longer requires a prescription!!! Yippee! Unfortunately they're still ripping ppl off on it. I paid only 10 cents a pill in fiji, 20 cents in Thailand, 30 cents in Spain, 40 cents in Holland, and here in the USA it's still more that $1.00 a pill!!! 40 cents if you get the generic version. Shows you just what a rip-off our pharmaceutical companies are.

In fact the story of Zyrtec is interesting because the very day the company lost its patent on it, it suddenly didn't require a prescription anymore. If that ain't fishy I don't know what is. Why couldn't it be over the counter before? To protect the pharma profits of course!

No, pot is RIGHT, not wrong!

Here in CA it is a prescription medicine, regardless of what anyone, anywhere else thinks. Only you can't get it in a pharmacy yet (thankfully!).

And best of all you can grow your own medicine, legally. Eat THAT Big PHarma! :)

    YES!

Ooops, I'm sorry HHB, I didn't realize that this poll was for "young" people! You can subtract one yes vote from me... I bet most ppl my age are on something!

I did go most of my life without any prescription drugs. But the allergies and high blood pressure finally did me in. Damn my genetics! That's why I'll have to choose just the right genetics for my medicine... ;)

And the best part is, it treats the symptoms, without creating new symptoms(negative side effects) like other medications do. I feel you on the insomnia. That's why I'm still awake right now, having not smoked for about a month for employment reasons. I'll have a job soon though, and back to smokin like a chimney:spliff:

My mind also races and I have really bad anxiety, so the weed helps me to relax my mind. I don't feel normal unless I'm stoned. I'm sure lots of people can relate to that.

my answer, sadly yes. i need for my deppresion, depending on the seasons or how ive been i have my doc increase or decrease. used to hear voices, people octricized, critized, mocked and even feared me. however, its not all bad. i just take what i need to, when i need to. better than bein in a "loony bin" cause let me tell ya,its not fun! (more than once!) my max stay was 2 weeks tops. convized shrinks let me go r.o.r. beacause im the only guy who can keep it together without jumping a staff or cause a seen. back on point, some people like me just need em. it sucks, but lifes not perfect!
