Is Zombie Slaying Moral?

A deep philosophical question: If the earth were to be invaded by freaky ass zombies, would it be moral to kill them? Surely they are just like other creatures. The fact that they munch on brains to SURVIVE isn't their fault.

And what about if there were more zombies than people? Still moral?

Also...What if the zombies came first? Would we be entitled to exterminate them?

There is no morality in nature so the fact that brains are eaten for sustenance and the people with the brains need them to survive as well, then it's just a matter of top of the food chain and who wins out, no matter who came first.

But what happens if all the brains are eaten? If all the humans were turned? What happens if zombies don't get their brains? Do they die? Power down? If the zombies won out, would it be the end of both our kind and theirs? Hmm...

Uh, I'm guessing I'm the first zombie to speak up on this matter...

Basically, the problem stems from two primary sources.

First, as zombies, our vocal ability is less than perfect. The word "salad" often comes out as "gnarrrrrgh", while "please" is usually aurally perceived as "gnsharrrrgh". This sort of thing is detrimental to our diets, as it is very difficult for us to prepare meals for ourselves (bits of us keep dropping into the pot). Oddly, the two words we ARE capable of properly annunciating are "brains" and "need". This has led to a heap of trouble with zombiohuman relations.

And secondly, humans are incredibly xenophobic (take a peek into a history book for info on how they treat each other). They eat all sorts of mammals, birds and fish. We, on the other hand, eat only ONE part of ONE mammal, and leave the rest of their bodies to live out their lives in (relative) comfort. Well, live out their lives, at any rate. Well, exist.

I do appreciate this thread, to be honest. You humans with your action/horror movie mentality usually don't think at all about blowing us into tiny chunks. This debate proves that there are some intelligent and possibly even empathetic specimens among your numbers.
