People are ANGRY and UPSET, at President Bush, for this WAR for OIL. I ask for my, brothers & sisters, of the HIPPY COMMUNITY, to stage PROTESTS, nation wide. Telling Washington,D.C. & our so called PRESIDENT, to STOP this ILLEGAL war. If this DOESN'T work, start putting up, ANTI-WAR posters, and staging ANTI-WAR protests, like OUR brothers & sisters, did in the 1960's & 1970's, during another, ILLEGAL war, called VIETNAM. On the posters put: " STOP this ILLEGAL war." " GEORGE BUSH JR., IS A WAR CRIMINAL." " BUSH, STARTED THIS WAR, WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF CONGRESS."
i went to a protest in chicago a few months ago. they are really great experiences. you meet alot of really cool people. 'drop acid, not bombs!'
It's not even a war on oil... All the terrorists AND oil are in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan. This is a Revenge War....Putting the lives of young men and women in danger for purposes that oddly resemble a 5 year old getting pushed on the playground
A lot of people in Washington own or do business with corporations that make literally billions in profits off of war during and years afterwards. That is a huge incentive already on top of the fact that Iraq has a lot of oil and the Saudis wanted in on it. Also this war is entirely legal. Look up the Gulf on Tonkin Act, the fact thats its legal is why its even more fucked up. This piece of legislation has gotten us into deep shit before. You may have heard of Vietnam...
No, all the terrorists are in Washington DC. You'll also find many of the perpetrators in the CIA, MI6, Mossad, and the Pakistani ISI. Do you think Bush honestly feels offended that we were attacked? Of course not... his buddies orchestrated the entire thing. It has nothing to do with oil or revenge. It has everything to do with taking over that entire region and bringing in a totalitarian system of government in the West. Revenge is the last thing it has to do with.
Uhh... I think the war is mostly about the history that exists between US and Iraq-- it's not like America had the best relationship with Iraq under Saddam Hussein. I mean, it was a dictatorship... and I really don't think that a bunch of spoiled American kids on drugs really understand what that means. If some fucking asshole teenager with a skateboard talks back to the police or questions their judgment in America, someone will take a cell phone video and the police will be criticized and declawed. If you talk back to the police under a dictatorship, you are killed. Soldiers watch everything you do, and if you do something wrong, you are killed... or maybe just raped... or maybe both. You can see how different the two countries are. Sure, the oil is a part of it-- the fact that the relationship between the two countries was hostile enough to prevent trade wasn't exactly favorable to the American economy... and yes, private companies are profiting hugely from the war, but all of this happened AFTER and BECAUSE of the fact, they didn't cause the war. The reason that the war is still happening is because Bush doesn't think that Iraq will be stable if he leaves, and he doesn't want to risk another anti-American regime, possibly an even more militarily aggressive one, coming to power. On the other hand, before he left, Saddam made sure that the ones he favored were given all the guns. If anything, it's about ideology. I'm definitely not in support of it or any other war, but at the same time, I don't think it's as simple as 'The evil US wants to steal poor Iraq's oil and make money by killing people'.
I'm afraid the idea that this war has anything to do with oil is quite ridiculous. We have more oil in our own country than has EVER been mined. We have no need to start a war it get it. Who do you think it is preventing us to get our own oil though? That would be the Democrats. It was the Democrats who decided that we couldn't drill in our own land. It is the Democrats who refuse to let us refine oil in our own land. I never knew that this war, or any other war for that matter, was illegal. I assure you though, it is not for oil. There are no innocent people being killed unless by their own faults. If you remember correctly people have gotten injured by stray bullets in past wars by no fault but their own. Our soldiers protect, not destroy.
Being a teenager myself and looking at the people around me I would have to agree with him 100% I've seen some "fucking asshole teenager"s. It seems the ones that get on the news as heroes and whatnot should be doing time instead. The police are only trying to do their jobs. Upkeeping new laws and removed rights is part of that job. The ones who decided to take those rights away shouldn't complain when their own laws are upkept.
I think the war is mostly about uninformed people allowing criminals to act. The best revolution would be a call for impeachment of Bush, Cheney, Rice and appointed judges and auxillary appointments. All should be made void and annulled.
Come on people, there's no real anti-war movement. No one is sacrificing anything, there's no draft, so teenagers or young adults won't get involved, and there's too many people screaming at protests, demanding that their cause (and believe me, there's a LOT of different causes) be heard, making those who are involved look like a bunch of scatterbrained idiots. Plus, even when we do protest, we have to do it under heavy police guard, where you're seperated from the general population while those who are pro-war get the entire run of the area around your "free speech" zone. Also, there is no effort to establish a dialogue with anyone. We just stand in our pre-approved spot and scream at deaf ears.
Actually I'm pretty sure Bush has no idea that it was orchestrated. There are really genius people behind shit like that and they know a dumbass when they see one. If they told Bush, he would have blurted it out by now. The man cannot even speak, hes a puppet.
I would have to guess this is due to communists successfully encouraging anti-war folk to use violence in place of protests. I don't blame the police one bit. With his latest, very un-republican actions I'm inclined to agree. I'm quite disapointed. Clinton made quite a mess before he was impeached for great justice. It looked like Bush was going to clean it up, but he seems to also be making a mess of his own. And amnesty sure as Hell isn't a very republican idea.
And it would be okay, if they said that instead of saying it's for the protestors own protection, and if they didn't arrest anyone who stepped out of their "free-speech" zone. Also, they put everyone far away from the general population or away from the event that's being protested. Case-in-point: back in late 2003, I was at a protest in Knoxville, TN. Bush was coming for a fundraiser. He was also visiting an elemetary school. The "free-speech" zone had already been placed along the motorcade route. A few minutes before the motorcade was to pass, the police ordered all protesters to another location, far away from the route. Then, they drove in a bunch of people, all carrying pro-bush signs and flags, in the original zone. So all Bush saw was people who supported the war. He stayed in knoxville for a few hours, and not once did he have to look at people against the war.
For those of you that don't think the Iraqi war is all about oil, where were you when Alan Greenspan said this? http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/article2461214.ece
Sorry to be a party pooper. He aslo clarified his comments. "not the administrations motive" http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,22434410-2703,00.html
A war for oil in a country rich in oil is pointless. Why bother lap up the few drops that we don't have, when we have so much already? The very idea is stupid. It has been used in most wars since oil was useful. I guarantee we had better reasons than oil to take down Hitler. We have better reasons than oil to take out a bigger threat than Hitler. If you actually think oil even comes into play here you really should adjust your eyes. If you already understand this, maybe come up with a new lie. The oil thing gets kind of old after a few hundred years.
WWII and Iraq don't even compare. The only thing they have in common is a ruthless dictator. Of course we wouldn't have overthrown Hitler for oil. Oil was plentiful and cheap in the 1940s. We went after Hitler because he was taking over countries to build a facist world regime.
