Can anyone recommend a good song/band/album that's really psychedelic...I'm having a 60's party in a month-ish....I really like Strawberry Alarm Clock and have already worn though all my Beatles music...anything really cool?

there was a hendrix album redone (forget name) and eric clapton redid purple haze. i am no clapton fan but that song is pretty damn killer...both off your ass and straight faced!

I am also a huge Zeplin fan and santana has some cool guitar stuff when tripping.

    Shpongle! Mozart's sonatas! Wolfmother!

Incubus has some interesting songs that could be considered psychedelic, and last but not least The good the bad and the queen.

More Hot Rocks - Rolling Stones (best best of album ever ever; includes "We Love You" w/Lennon and McCartney singing back-up)
Exit - Tangerine Dream (much better than great pioneer electronic band from Germany)
Tubular Bells II - Mike Oldfield (buy it, really - if you're not already familiar you'll thank me for recommending his music)
The Wall - Pink Floyd (redundant to mention, maybe, but it has to be said)

Here are some albums that will surely open your mind to the vast expanse of inner space. Enjoy! (you can get all this off of thepiratebay.org

NOTE: Tool and all bands associated with post-rock are psychedelic. Come on, look at lateralus, pure psychedelic masterpiece.

    ISIS-In The Absence of Truth
    Buckethead-Praxis
Lemon Jelly-Lost Horizons (this is the one you want)
    All Les Claypool and Primus
    All Tool
Mouth of the Architect- The Ties That Bind
    Riverside- Rapid Eye Movement
Pelican- In the City of Echos
    some good 60s psychedelic music:
    country joe and the fish
    CCR
    Iron Butterfly

I'll post more if more comes to mind.

Into The Electric castle by Ayreon is prety damn psychedelic.
And nearly anything by Gong, although YOU, Angel's Egg and Camembert Electrique are the best albums, I think.
